With baseball season being only three months long in Vancouver because it is short-season Class-A ball, as a sports fan I prefer to get out there and attend other local sports instead of waiting around for the summer months to roll around.
So, this fall, I began attending BC Major Midget Hockey games around British Columbia in venues such as the Richmond Oval, Burnaby Winter Club, Langley Events Centre, and Coquitlam's Planet Ice. It is terrific to have the opportunity to cover hockey (which, along with baseball, classifies as my favourite sport) and report about the games I attend, as well as conducting interviews with coaches and players for the wonderful MidgetAAACanada.com network.
